Once you get in Castelnuovo Cilento, time seems stop.

Far away from any sort of stress, you can discover the simple gestures of the everyday life and ancient traditions.

In summer the village is rich with events, including “Castrum Novum” show, an historical commemoration in the fascinating location of the castle of Castelnuovo Cilento and allows you to taste the typical products of Cilento from the various food and wine stands.

Santa Maria Maddalena, on July 22, is the most important event in the area.

During summer, Cilento is the staged to many typical festivals “Casa dei Ciottoli” is few kilometers far from Casalvelino Marina, Ascea, Pioppi (homeland of the Mediterranean diet) and Acciaroli (the village of Centenarians); in less than one hour you can reach the mythological coasts of Palinuro and Marina di Camerota.

Less than 8 km from the apartment you will find the archeological excavations of Elea, the ancient Greek city that gave birth to ancient philosophers such as Parmenides and Zeno.

Castelnuovo Cilento is also the starting point of Via Silente (street), a magnificent bike route of about 600 km that runs across the Cilento National Park, Vallo di Diano and Alburni.
